APJ Member, Preston Keres, staff photographer for the WASHINGTON POST, and two time Military POY winner will be the keynote speaker for the Opening Session of the TRUTH WITH A CAMERA WORKSHOP, August 8, 2004 at the Chrysler Museum of Art, Norfolk, Virginia.
The 10th Clifton C. Edom TRUTH WITH A CAMERA WORKSHOP is an intensive, thinking and hands-on experience relating photojournalism to social understanding, awareness and change.
Workshop goals include the development of photographic, editing and layout skills, job preparation, learning current methods and technology, personal growth, understanding of ethics, responsibility to the profession and to all members of the community.
Students come from all over the country to document a picture story of their choosing which becomes a layout suitable for publication under the guidance of experienced staff members.
