Nikon announces major enhancement for D1X

The new D1X Set with Free Buffer Upgrade and Free Nikon Capture Software (product Number 25211) is now available. The price for the new product will remain unchanged from the former D1X Set, Product # 25205. The former D1X Set (without buffer upgrade, product number 25205) is no longer supplied by Nikon Inc.
By including the free enlarged Buffer in the D1X and supplying free Capture Software with every D1X, your D1X customers will enjoy a significant upgrade and a great value benefit, as follows:
-The larger Buffer capacity will virtually eliminate “Buffer Stall,” the condition when the buffer becomes full and the camera must wait a brief period (seconds) to resume taking pictures.
-Nikon Capture software for NEF files interpolated to 10 mega pixel performance, when processed in Capture 3.5. Bigger and sharper images will be possible.
-The D1X supplied firmware will operate with Lexar™ Write Acceleration (WA) technology cards for faster throughput.
-DX Nikkor 12-24mm f/4 lens will enable wide-angle photography to 99-degree angle of view. (DX Nikkor delivery is scheduled for next month.)
